Paris Couture’s Next Generation

Fashion’s most exclusive stage opens to young designer Phan Huy

At twenty six Phan Huy has entered one of fashion’s most protected spaces. Officially selected for the Paris Haute Couture Week calendar he becomes the youngest designer ever to present with his own house and the first Vietnamese designer to do so. Most designers arrive here decades into their careers. Phan Huy’s inclusion breaks that pattern and signals a subtle shift in how new voices and new geographies are being considered.

Vietnam has long been positioned as a centre of production rather than authorship within luxury fashion. Phan Huy’s work changes that narrative. His collections draw on traditional Vietnamese techniques such as hand weaving, embroidery and natural dyeing, while remaining firmly rooted in contemporary designs. Craft is not presented for spectacle but as a true foundation for modern couture.

Founded in 2023 alongside Steven Doan the house has developed quietly with its atelier based in Vietnam at the centre of the process. The focus has been on precision research and long term collaboration rather than visibility. That approach aligns with the values couture claims to protect. Phan Huy’s debut does not redefine couture but it expands its perspective. We are excited to see what’s coming in Paris, January 2026.
